Midwest Outdoors Adaptability Foundation
The Midwest Outdoors Adaptability Foundation is committed to fostering a welcoming, respectful, and positive environment for all individuals involved in our mission. Whether you are a staff member, board member, volunteer, participant, vendor, or spectator at one of our events, you are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct in alignment with our core values of respect, inclusivity, and patriotism.
1. Respect and Kindness
- All individuals involved with the foundation are expected to treat one another with respect, kindness, and courtesy.
- Go out of your way to assist others, ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, feels supported and included.
- Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
2. Language and Conduct
- Vulgar or offensive language is strictly prohibited at all events.
- Our goal is to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere where all individuals, including children, feel comfortable and welcomed.
3. Opening Ceremonies: Honoring Our Nation
At every event, we will begin with the following:
- A child will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
- The National Anthem will be performed.
- A prayer will follow.
We ask that all attendees pay the proper respect to our nation’s flag and those who have served and sacrificed for our freedoms.
- Political discussions and divisiveness should be set aside during our events to focus on unity and purpose.
- The only acceptable time to kneel is during prayer. While we respect all beliefs, any act of disrespect toward the flag, including kneeling during the National Anthem, will result in immediate removal from the event—this applies to all attendees, including staff, volunteers, participants, and spectators.
4. Representation of the Foundation
- Staff and volunteers must wear apparel representing the foundation during all events. This can be a T-shirt, hat, hoodie, or other branded item to maintain professionalism and visibility.
5. Alcohol Policy
- While some venues may permit alcohol sales, only spectators who are 21 years of age or older may consume alcohol.
- Staff, volunteers, board members, and participants are strictly prohibited from consuming alcohol during the event.
6. Vendor Guidelines
- Vendor spaces will be available for purchase at select events.
- Vendors are expected to adhere to all foundation policies and maintain a respectful and professional presence throughout the event.
Enforcement & Accountability
By participating in any Midwest Outdoors Adaptability Foundation event, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Violations of these policies may result in immediate removal from the event, revocation of participation privileges, and/or further action as deemed necessary by the foundation’s leadership.
We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that every event is an uplifting and meaningful experience for all involved. Thank you for supporting our mission and upholding the values that make our foundation exceptional.
